I got my body fat percentage measured today. I reigned in at 47%. My goal is to be 18%. I'm putting this in this forum because I finally became brave enough to find out where I need to go from here. I've been dreading knowing my body fat percentage. But I finally know. My question is, what is the best way (and preferably" quicker way) to lose body fat? Lifting or cardio? Paired with a good diet, of course.
Thanks
Thanks

You Rock, period. Honey, overcoming that dreaded and dastardly fear (of anything), but especially of bf% is one HUGE step in kicking the unwanted and unhealthy weight to the place where the sun won't ever shine! I HATE  FEAR , it's such a deceiver and helps promote & instigate all kinds of disfunction and dis-ease and yuck (in my life it does anyhoo). For you to overcome fear is stuff shero's are made of...I'm proud of you!!!!! Woot!:drinker:0 -

Both! Seriously doing them both is better than either on it's own. I'd say 70% weights, 30% cardio is an ideal mix.0 -
Braver than I.
I have limited myself to seeing the exaggerated number from my scale that also claims to calculate BFP. The number varies wildly depending how damp my feet are.
I do know my doctor said a good range at my age is 15 to 20%.0 -
That is so awesome! Life is all about facing your fears, it only serves to help you later on! I got mine tested last Friday and I have the same goal as you! Keep on keepin' on. Here's to the 18%!0
