Sooo frustrated. Got about 7 pounds to lose. I'm within healthy weight range but hate my back fat. Been battling for months on this site but weight isn't coming off.

I'm beginning to wonder why I'm doing it. Lots of other people's motivations, like being able to play with the kids and buying clothes from normal shops isnt an issue for me. How can I keep going when I am not meeting my goals?

I suppose I need to focus on why I'm doing this but motivation is waning.

Tried eating and not eating exercise calories. Just started doing Chalean Extreme. Not losing pounds, inches, or looking any different. Weight fluctuates so much from day to day, it's not even as if I can say weight is coming off but slowly!!!

Honestly my advice would be to try something really different.

Eat your exercise calories back. Try lifting heavy weights (heavy weights that you struggle with, could still be what some consider light)

You might not get the number you want,p but you'll have the body you want.

I agree with Lozze, work out your TDEE and -20% and don't worry about tracking and eating exercise cals. follow a heavy lifting programme, stonglifts 5x5 is brilliant if you have a barbell or access to a gym

I also like this calculator for TDEE: http://www.1percentedge.com/ifcalc/

Before I fractured my wrist I started stronglifts and have been bouncing around the same 2lbs for the last couple of months byt have dropped 5% BF.

Ignore the scale and just take measurements once a month, good luck:happy:

I'm a team beachbody coach (not trying to recruit - just offering advice). In the information they give us on Chalene Extreme they do say that the vast majority of people doing the program won't see significant changes until the last phase. That's when people start to see the changes you hear about with the program. That doesn't mean you should skip ahead to the last phase - those results are built upon by doing the program through, start to finish. Even if you can't see the changes yet over time your body will start to get stronger (if you're working to muscle failure), and as you get closer to the end you should start to notice a change in your body.

And I agree with girlie100 - stay off the scale and focus on your measurements - take them and photos once a month and do a comparison. Even if the scale hasn't budged you should see a difference here.

    Good Luck!

Thanks very much. I feel guilty now as I always expect BB coaches to be trying to sell something. You' restored my faith in them!

within the first month of starting at the gym, I started doing some strength work. It took me about 4 months or so to do the back extension and lat pull down machines.

In June I had one of my kids take a picture of me in the SAME outfit. I weighed around 210...

I have NO back boobs! Please excuse the blurriness, my 6 year old took the picture :D

I just started doing squats and deadlifts, so I expect my back to get even better looking in the next 6 months or so
