1. Its not going to happen unless you take steroids
2. You have no idea what it takes for a women to even get to the point you fear
3. Many of the women with "buff" photos on here, just happened by some awesome lighting and want to show it off.....we look NORMAL...no one in my everyday life even knows I lift, and just think I'm thin.
Please STOP worrying about it. Seriously.
Are you taking steroids?
No?
Its not gonna happen the way you think it will.
And if SOMEHOW you MAGICALLY gain all this MAGIC buff muscle.....
1. Tell me how you did it, bc I am trying my darndest to get where you fear
2. You can stop at ANY TIME and it will GO AWAY. Trust me, a woman I know who is insanely ripped (shes has been lifting for 6 years to get to this point btw, and relaxed she looks pretty normal) had surgery a month ago and can't exercise. Her muscle has pretty much disappeared. She will get it back, but it just goes to show you, women don't hold onto it like a man can. Sadly.

I've put on a noticeable amount of muscle since starting lifting (muscles run in the family, both sides), especially in my shoulders, and you know what? IT'S FREAKING AWESOME! My bra straps no longer slide down! My shoulders balance out my big hips a lot better. Not bad for a worst case scenario!
LIFT WEIGHTS, LADIES!!! :flowerforyou:0 -
I am hoping for someone to post a Jodie Marsh picture here...0

great points. all I have read validates what you say.0

Preach it OP! I am in the same boat, I lift and nobody knows or notices my muscle, they think I'm some dainty little thing until I pick up an 80 pound auto part and carry it across the shop unassisted. :bigsmile:0

Did my first point say something about steroids? I believe it did. You are a genius.0 -
That first pic is HILARIOUS!0 -
that first pic absolutely TERRIFIES me......0

I went from doing hours and hours of cardio a day (seriously 2+ hours a day) to weight training 2 times a week w a trainer and less cardio and I look so much better. I weigh more on the scale but things are flat and toned and tight!0

I don't think it's proper to assume every female body builder takes steroids.0 -

Did I say that. No. But i am 100% positive that 2 and 3 do. 1 just happens to have such a lovely smile. But she is natural looking0 -
She actually looks really good, minus the facial expression.
I laugh every time I see women on this forum who are "afraid to lift weights because they'll get big." They just have absolutely no idea how hard it is for a woman to build muscle.0 -
I agree with you OP. In fact whenever I tell people that I lift heavy, nobody believes me and I even get the same at the gym until they see me squatting 66kg barbell (146lbs.) with my size 2, 56kg body (123 lbs.)
FYI: My arms may look 'big' in this pic coz of lighting (like what the OP said) but the truth is my biceps only measure 11 inches.0 -
So true! Back in college I thought it was the weightlifting that was bulking me up....but it was really just the freshman 15 lol I was eating thousands of cals and didn't even know it hahahaha darn you college meal plan!0
