My Old Fashioned Oats box says a serving is 1/2 cup, rated at 150 calories. That is more than this calculates for 1 cup of oatmeal. Why is that?

I'm not sure, but I think:
1/2 cup oats + 1 cup water = 1 1/2 cup oatmeal (150 calories)
1/3 cup oats + 2/3 cup water = 1 cup oatmeal (100 calories)0 -
It would depend if it's dry weight or weight after cooking. I like to use things like oatmeal, rice and pasta with the dry weight measurement for better accuracy.0

This is confusing to me.. hahahaha..
I was trying to do some waffles made with oatmeal and it stuck to my waffle iron and did the same thing when I tried to make pancakes out of them...It was basically scrambled oatmeal lol with protein powder, water, oatmeal and some raspberries and egg whites.. Now it called for 1/2 cup of uncooked oatmeal.. It made quite a bit.. Do I eat half a cup or do I eat it all..???0
