HELP!

I've recently , as of tomorrow , am starting my diet and workouts . I've been trying , but I just CANT keep it up . I am always SO tired . I easily get at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night . I recently had mono last year , my doctor said that the sleeping spells would come back . It gets so bad to where I can't even bring myself to move . I really don't want this wo be another "attempt" at working out .
So , my question is . . . do any of you mfps have any tips or advice to help me get some energy back ???

And anyone to has had mono , do you know of any remedies ??

hey i had mono in HS really really bad... like 2 years of being tired type of bad. i know how you feel. but i honestly had to just suffer through it and sleep as much as i could. i found i wasnt eating much during that period because i was sleeping all the time. i wouldnt worry about exercising too much but honestly a little bit of cardio might give you some extra energy. i suggest green tea as well. could you perhaps try strength training? its not as physically taxing as cardio would be. of course you will be sore but its definitely different because you are doing short bursts at a time, giving you time to rest in between.

and you can lose weight by just eating at a deficit, you know
but all of this is easier said than done, i know how tired you are.. but it gets better. rest up and eat healthy! i hope you start getting your energy back ASAP.
  • :/ I have a virus too, and I get really sleepy
At first i wouldn't really eat, or just eat crap..
    and just lay in bed...
I started trying to eat better...and started...feeling better...
Then I got a gym membership..and started working out 15 minutes cardio 15 minutes weights...
some days I had to suck it up, and be like... you're gonna be tired regardless, just TRY...
and..now I have lots of energy!
I can do 1 hr cardio, and 30 minutes lifting nooooo prob
and still have energy left over!
    Baaaaby steps.

Have you tried an over the counter sleep aid to help you sleep better? Just b/c you are "sleeping" 7-8hrs does not mean you a "asleep" for 7-8hrs. You are not getting a good REM sleep which is what is needed to feel rested.

I take a sleep gummy each night. The dose is 2 gummies, but I take one and its just enough to help get me into that deep sleep.

Eat better. Get energy from healthy foods - fruit and healthy carbs and proteins will help keep your energy up. Reduce the amount of processed foods. Reduce artificial sugar intake. Its spikes your blood sugar and then you drop causing the feeling of being more tired.

I hope you get better after your sickness and are able to stay on track!!
