Depends on the thickness to which it's been beaten.

That's probably close. I always weigh everything, but I take a guess before I weigh so that I learn how to judge without the scale.

That's a good estimate if you don't have a scale and have need to eyeball it.

buy a scale. it's worth it. you'd be surprised, probably, on how off you can be when guessing.

You can get a great digital scale at Kohls for 20 bucks. Its right on money too. I use all the time. So worth investment

I bought a food scale for about $5 that I use to weigh most everything. I was shocked at how much meat I could eat for four or five ounces (I was way overestimating the weight of meat). Invest in a cheapy food scale if you can't afford a nice one.

I happen to have had 3 oz. of roast beef for lunch. Each 1.5 oz. slice was approx the size of playing cards, stacked 8 high. I agree on the scale, they are worth it. The more I measure and weigh, the better I am at eye balling portions. I paid $20.00 for a digital that has all sorts of fancy functions that I'll never use.
