How do I get some muscle over here?

I have a gym membership... but I basically just do a lot of cardio..
a) because I don't know how to use a lot of the machines properly
b) If I do I can't lift very much weight at all.![:( :(](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/frowning.png)
I want to be stronger...and a little less..well...plushy.
Any tips?

Lift heavy weights and eat more calories than you burn each day. Check out the Stronglifts 5x5 for women group here on MFP:

Try and spring for a trainer to help you with form to start... then do it 3 times a week as prescribed.0 -
