Home is where the heart (and lbs.) is

I am 'moving' back home for 2 weeks starting this Saturday. I am incredibly nervous. My mom is super healthy and she doesn't keep much food in the house which is great. But whenever I am home I find myself pigging out on anything and everything I can find. I have self sabotaged myself by doing this almost every time that I visit home since I left for college. 2 years ago I lost 15 pounds and gained it all back in 2 weeks.

So! I want to plan ahead and make sure that this doesn't happen again. Rather than gaining or maintaining, I want to keep losing! What do you guys do when you're visiting home and surrounded by comfort food?

Also - my family is against scales. I am the only one who owns a scale in my entire family. I am nervous that if I don't bring a scale home these next 2 weeks my weight may creep up on me. Do you think i should bring a scale home to keep myself on track or just listen to my body and continue to use MFP?

Thanks guys!!! All comments are appreciated :)

Do both. would it bother your mom if you brought a scale? Would it bother you as well? Definitely use MFP, to keep yourself accountable. If you are looking for someone to stay accountable to add me!! I find that when i check on my friends here that they stay on track. If you are not already doing it eat small meals spaced through out the day. Load on veggies, but a quick tip that has really helped me is to chew gum about an hour after my meal to help me through to the next one. Although not really healthy chewing gum has kept me from snacking and going from a 6:30 breakfast shake to a 12 pm lunch. May be it's just in my head but that worked for me a few times... Good luck and happy holidays.
