Increasing the dosage of a med = decreased appetite?

I got my medication increased and for the first few weeks of the medication my appetite is completely gone.
It is now 3:37pm, I had my normal breakfast at 9am and I'm still not hungry :S

So the question is.. to eat or not to eat?
I still want to be healthy and have the energy for my workouts and not lose muscle..

Eat if you can, just do it according to the math and eat your allotted calories. Must be gross to eat when you're not hungry, but it's probably best if you at least try.

Good luck, and I hope you get your appetite back as your body gets used to the new dose.

Hubby has no appetite due to chemo treatments and not much tastes good to him. I make him a protein smoothie every day with peanut butter and he will drink that (frozen banana, Greek yogurt, protein powder, peanut butter and milk). He also eats some cream of wheat.
Hope you get your appetite back soon.

Thanks, it has every other time so I don't see why it wouldn't this time.

Do not stop eating just cause you have no appetite. I'd say, instead, use this time to prepare healthier meals (I doubt you have many cravings since you aren't very hungry). Maybe even start juicing if you can't manage to eat meals.

I think you should still try to eat at the right times, and try to keep to a regular eating schedule. And I also think, I need to take my own darn advise. Thank you very much. My medicine curbs my appetite too. And somedays I could go until almost 3:30 without anything when Im busy. And its been such the challenge to make sure I stick with eating breakfast on time. And its strange I know, but I did lose 36 lbs last year by eating at regular times. Not by starving all day thats for sure. Its eat to lose. Not starve to lose. Even if you can eat just a tiny bit, thats still better than not eating at all. I say go ahead and eat something.

If you check out my diary you will notice that I DO eat.. a lot hehe :)
It's just these meds are screwing up my body.
