I'm not the most tech savvy person out there and I haven't really used youtube much so I need some help on how the 30ds works. I found different levels on youtube so when I start do I use the same level 1 video everyday for 30 days and then move on to level 2 and so on? Thanks in advance!

Do Level One for as long as you feel you need to. Some people do it for a week or 10 days, and then move up to Level 2. When I did it, I waited until I felt ready for the next challenge - which may have been 10 workouts or so - I didn't do the 30DS for 30 days straight (some do, but Jillian has been quoted as saying that it wasn't intended to be a 30 day thing with no rest days) - I averaged 4 or 5 days a week.
I think when I got through Level 3, I started skipping around the levels, doing whichever I felt like doing that day, but I started using heavier dumbbells so it would be more challenging, and then eventually moved on to other workouts, mixing things up so avoid boredom.0 -
Thank you so much- I was thinking I was going to wait till after new years because I couldn't commit to workout 7 days a week but I think I will start tomorrow instead!0

You are welcome! Yeah, rest days are important (and I think just about every other JM DVD I have that came out after 30DS has Jillian saying to take at least one rest day). Our muscles heal and grow on rest days - besides, trying to go for it every day can lead to burn out.
I always take at least one day off, sometimes two if I'm really tired, sore, or if something comes up and I can't work out. And occasionally I'll take 4 or more days off - it feels good and I always come back feeling refreshed and strong. The important part is coming back!
Good luck with the 30DS - it's a good workout and a great place to start.0 -
I have been doing it every other day. When I can do the push ups in level 1 the "big girl way" not on my knees I will move to the next level.0
