Time of day to exercise

Maybe this is a silly question, but hey, can't hurt to ask, right?
Normally I run on the tread in the morning before I go to work, so that when I get home I can unwind and get settled in for the night. Some days, though, (usually Monday!) I simply cannot get out of bed early enough, so I exercise when I get home instead, then exercise the next morning as usual, about 12 hours later.
Now, the question I have is, is it bad to have different exercise times for different/off days instead of having a set schedule? Is it better to skip the workout for that day and start fresh the next day? Or does time not really matter too much, so long as the workout gets done?

Time is irrelevant, just get it done.0

I think it's always good to have some variety in your work-outs, whether it's a change in intensity, duration or just simply changing your schedule.
As long as you don't feel sore and ready to work out, you can do it whenever you want to!0
