New to MFP and lifting

OH MY WORD!!!! Just read an amazing thread in the success stories section.I feel shocked that I didn't know women could lift heavy weights and get those kind of results!!! I am new to mfp and stumbled on this set of pics and am just gobsmacked by how utterly fabulous each and every one of the women on there is and how hard they have worked !! (The men are amazing too!)
I only joined in the last couple of days but love the ap already. I am currently 140 or so pounds but only 5 foot 2. I am naturally quite stocky and have ok muscle tone with a big layer of fat pretty much everywhere and lots of wobble post baby! (as you can see from my profile pic I really like to cover up at the moment!) I actually like being curvy and don't want to lose my boobs if possible, but I do want to feel stronger (get back ache a lot) to be able to eat a lot but be energetic and not as wobbly. All I do at the minute is walk or other gentle cardio but am now well up for starting lifting! Think it may be the route I have missed all my life as I would really like to be strong and leaner but still curvy. Can anyone help who is a bit further on than me?

some nice, light reading0 -
There are lots of programs for beginner lifters out there. A few to look at are: Stronglifts, Starting Strength, New Rules of lifting for Women.
The first one is a free site/log that shows you the program. The other 2 are books.
I suggest you to pick a program and possibly hire a trainer to teach you proper form or go to you tube and watch how to do each exercise.0
