2013: 1001 mile challenge

I've been thinking. 2012 has been a good year. I've dropped 70lbs, started from not being able to run for more than a few yards to finishing my first ever 10k, and in under 52 mins, have joined a local running club. I feel fitter and stronger than I ever have. I've a few goals now that I want to achieve next year. There are a we 10ks I want to run, three half marathons amongs other races and i want to start thinking about the big 26.2 in 2014 (I'll apply for London and see how that goes)

To keep up the pressure and motivation, I've been thinking about setting up a group for those who are interested in trying to run more than 1001 miles in 2013. To be fair, it could be any distance, and it doesn't necessarily need to be running - walking / crawling would count also.

I don't intend upon logging any walking miles personally though, I'll aim for 1001 miles in total running. That could be race miles, training or treadmill.

Anyone up for a challenge and we'll set something up for next year?
