The human Yo-yo seeks friends.

Hi guys,

I find myself back on the weight loss wagon. Bigger than ever. Wondering how it happened. Knowing how it happened but secretly wishing I had some sort of thyroid issue to blame it on.
But facts are facts and I am a terrible stress eater who is sickeningly self-indulgent.
It's time I dust off my work out DVD's and evict my secret stash of Sour Patch Kids.
Watch out size eight denim blues because I AM COMING FOR YOU!
I could use some peeps who can find humor in the struggle.
My name is Dani, I'm twenty three. I have over forty pounds to lose.
I've never been consistently under a size twelve. I'm entering that stage in my life where I want to like myself and stop hating my body.
It is my hope that the road to inner peace is right around the corner, I just have to stop walking down Cheese Doodle Ave.

Welcome! I've been back on the "weight loss wagon" for about a month now and I too play the yo-yo game. Not anymore. Oh yeah, and I'm super funny. Not so much in this post, but in real life, get ready to hold your sides.

Wow... save for your age ... I almost think you wrote my life story in there. The wanting to get back into your 8s ... not being a consistently under size 12 (at the moment I have 12, 14 and 16 in my closet that all fit ... that's an ego blow right there, if you ever need one .... look, I'm a 12 ... no, wait, I'm a 16, WTF? WHO MADE UP THESE DAMN NUMBERS ANYWAY?) ... blowing the dust off the exercise DVDs ... and even the stress-eating part.

Your title, "human yo-yo" caught my attention ... :) So ... I'm here with you if you need a sister-in-arms. Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt - in all kinds of sizes .... (What size do you need? I'm wearing my XLs at the moment, but I have M and L if you need them...)
  • Love your humor! Get back on the band wagon and keep at it! Feel free to add me and I'll keep you motivated with some rated PG-13 entertainment and sarcasm. lol

Hey good luck and I hope you reach your goals. I think the key is finding an exercise you enjoy rather than one you dread :-) Kundalini yoga works for me... it's challenging but it works on your mind as well as your body which I think is a big thing when you're trying to lose weight. Find something that works for you :-)

Hey! You and I are a lot alike. I can defiantly find humor in my situation to, and would love to blame it on anything other than myself, although I know the truth we have the same goals, we can help each other out
