Comments at work

Every Tuesday, the company I work for pays for the staff to get a meal each week brought in from take out. Ironically, I am in charge of this program and choose where we get to eat.

There have been several occasions where I continued to bring my own lunch from home just because I didn't want the high calorie take out options. A few coworkers would consistently be like, "Oooh look. Ms. healthy again." And make a bigger deal out of it than if no one had said anything at all.

It used to bother me, and make me embarrassed because they were doing it in front of EVERYONE. I also found it frustrating because I never say anything about what other people are eating, just focus on myself. Now, I use it as fuel and want to be even more focused just to prove them wrong.

Don't let others' negative comments get you down, or discourage you from doing the right thing. They're probably just insecure because they know that they should be eating better!
