Is there a reason why you're not doing yoga?0

Just no room at my parents house. Moving into my own place on the 1st and I fully intend to get back at it :-)0

I need to become more flexible, maybe I need some yoga.0

Haha, probally not.. and the bundles of clothes will probally prevent you from bending.lol0 -
There must be enough room to do some poses. I've done a bit of yoga (very little indeed) and many of the basic poses don't take up that much space.0

We're talking single wide trailer, two kids, two dogs, two parents, packed to the gills with furniture and literally no room lol. Plus I'm super flexible so I need more room than normal ;-)0

Being super flexible, you should have no problems in amongst all that stuff! Just bend around them, lol!0 -
I have heard so many good things about it, and I am very interested...but it has been hard trying to learn from videos (don't know if I am doing it right and it's hard to watch and do at the same time) and I don't want to join a class because I don't trust myself to attend regularly and I guess I am just more of a home body type.......0

I wanted to get into yoga so. bad. but all the dvds I try end up being soooo boring0

I hear ya. I do ana brett and ravi singh kundalini yoga everyday and I love it... it's brought so much to my mind and my body. I know what you mean about missing it. I was sick a few weeks ago and just couldn't do it, I felt awful :-( x0

I did it a few years ago and enjoyed it. Can't fit it into my schedule now. Maybe in a few more years I'll find the time. Isn't that the way it always is....putting things off...0

I'm recovering from a back injury, is yoga a good way to engage core muscles without too much stress on the body? I kind of want t start using the yoga poses on the Wii Fit but I'm terrified of hurting myself again!0

Do NOT try to do it on your own. Go to a class and let the instructor know your limitations.
No one should try yoga on their own without learning first from an instructor. Bad, bad, bad idea.0 -

Gotta love a super flexible woman
I've thought about doing Yoga on non-lifting days to help with recovery and whatnot. My gym has changed their group classes timetables and Yoga is on Wednesday morning starting in January which could slot in quite easily.0 -

I've seen this article before and there are so many things wrong with it, I can't even begin to count. I'll just say that it takes some very stupid people and very extreme cases and paints a picture that is not particularly accurate.0 -

If you don't want to do yoga, don't. I've been doing it for more than 10 years without injury. I always advise people to learn from a qualified instructor and not try to learn from videos. But if you learn it correctly and don't push yourself, it's pretty safe.
I have, on the other hand, injured myself jogging, hiking and lifting weights. :flowerforyou:0
