Getting out of this.

I want to maintain, but man I'm scared of gaining weight back. I workout hard, being I'm swearing into the army on tuesday, I can't be in a deficit anymore for obvious reasons. I'm so used to undereating, it seems weird to bump up my calories. Any one transition into the maintenance phase with no problem?

I'm not even close to my goal weight yet, but I bet I'll be thinking the same thing when I make the transition from weight loss mode to maintenance mode.

    Thank you for your service!

You won't be gaining anything but muscle when you go to Basic Training. You have nothing to worry about while in Basic and AIT.

I ended up losing a lot of weight that I didn't need to lose during my training in both Basic and AIT when I went into the Army. My mom asked the Drill Sgt when I graduated if I had even been eating, which I had of course.

You won't have to watch your eating until you get out of all training and it is more of a discipline thing because it is more like going to a job and you don't do PT every day then.

I'm struggling with maintenance, it's a little harder for me than I thought, so we're in the same boat. Though the difference between you and me is that you probably workout WAY more than I do, and with army training on the horizon I honestly doubt you'd need to worry about calories, you're going to get worked! :)
