Love wine; we go to wine tastings all the time.
Current favorite is New Zealand Marborough Sauvignon Blanc
and Biltmore's Blanc de Blanc (Their driest Sparkling wine)
there was a local winery, but they had to shut their doors and they made an awesome Chocolate Raspberry Wine (it's a red) and it's perfect for Winter...it is very "warming"0 -
I adore Chardonnay.0

Champagne darling0

If there is alcohol, I will be there.0

After doing several trips to different wine regions throughout the world and sampling different varietals throughout I have found myself always going for a Bordeaux or a big bold Napa Cab. if i must drink a white it will be a Sav Blanc. The Napa Chards are too buttery and oakey for my pallet. While something like a Moscato or a White Zin are way too sweet. I would cringe if i heard someone order White Zin in a restaurant. Many consider it a starter wine and it isn't taken seriously in the wine community at large.0

Another moscato fan here!0

mostly red for me, often full bodied French wines, but got a taste for Californian Pinot Noir after visiting the region in September0

To distinquish myself as a wine connoisseur, I would google the most obscure offering and claim to love it  The fact is though, I enjoy a good Cabernet better than anything. A side benefit is that just about any winery worth the cork can make a good Cab. Most of mine is aroun $7 :drinker:0

Not sure about this. If you can find a decent cab under $20 that is a major accomplishment.. Bogle or Blackstone just don't get it done. If is incredibly difficult to make a good cab. Only certain regions on the planet can produce with any consistency.0 -
I love Moscato and have a glass with dinner most nights. Barefoot makes a decent moscato for the price, it runs about $7. There are much better moscatos that are more expensive but for an everyday wine Barefoot is decent.0

Who cares what the 'wine community' thinks? If you like white zin and want to drink it, does it matter if other folks don't take it seriously? LOL0 -
Big reds... Zin, Cab Sav, Malbec, Shiraz, Chianti. I can drink Piot Noir or Merlot, but they aren't my favorites.
I don't care what other people like, I mean, I don't judge them. However, I can't stand most white for myself, except I do love cold Prosecco on a hot summer night.
My absolute favorite is 7 Deadly Zins, or any Dry Creek, CA Zin.0 -

My only training in wine is what my pallet tells me. There are some things in life worth complicating (to me), and some things better left simple. Wine and fishing are too examples of things I keep simple0 -

7 Zins is a great wine for the money0 -
Love wine! I prefer big, bold Cabernets but I will also drink Bordeaux, granache, syrah, chianti, Zinfandel(the real stuff. Not that bastardized Berringer "white zin" crap). I am just getting into whites. I like a nice Chardonnay or my favorite summer wine which is a muscatel. I also prefer either all oak aged or the majority of the wine being in oak. I'll obviously drink wine that's been aged in stainless but I do prefer a nice oak taste.0

I don't drink often but I make a cab that is nice and dry.0

It used to be $10-$15, now it's $18-$25 I don't buy it very often anymore.0 -

White wines, I fell in love with one it was a holiday blend with reindeer on the label I wish I could find the bottle so I know what it was.0

Barefoot white moscato! It's SO cheap and so good. It's like liquid candy. I always have a bottle of it in the fridge.0
