P90X2 - How to know when I'm ready...

I've just acquired P90X2 and I was curious as to how I know if I'm ready or not...
I'm about to be a repeat P90X grad (I've already added insanity in place of plyometrics and kenpo which certainly kicks it up a notch) and although the workouts are still challenging because I keep upping my weights - I'm excited to see what P90X2 is all about.
I'm pretty solid when it comes to pushups and my core is ridiculously strong at this point (ab ripper doesn't do too much for me anymore - so I've increased all my reps) but I still struggle immensely with pullups and chinups becuase I only just got a pullup bar a month or two ago...
Any thoughts?

I love X2! I'm the same way with the pull ups. Put one foot on a chair and train yourself to do the pull ups. They will come over time. I will also put a high resistance band over the pull up bar and sit on the floor to do pull ups. Do as many as you can without your foot on the chair, then put your foot on the chair and do as many reps as you can that way. keep it up!0

I've not done P90X too myself, but in terms of being ready? Just go for it.
How did you determine (did you?) you were ready for Insanity?
Just go and kick some BUTT!0 -
If you've completed P90X and have thrown in Insanity in place of Plyo and Kenpo.....you're going to be able to do P90X2. Just keep in mind you'll need some extra equipment. Medicine balls and stability ball, other than that the equipment you have from P90X will be all that you need.0

Thanks so much everyone I guess I'll just go for it. I need to grab some medicine balls though...
Do any of you have any recommendations for how many medicine balls I should get? Should I get a variety of weights? I saw that they do balance pushups on them...what's the best size for that?0
