What's the general guideline for replacing the oil in a recipe with mashed banans? Is it equal measure? For instance replace 1/3 c oil with 1/3 c mashed banana? And do you have to adjust the remaining liquids?
Thank you!
Thank you!

When subbing oil for applesauce, it's generally 1:1 ratio, maybe a bit more. So mashed bananas are probably the same idea, though you may need to experiment a bit.0

I use half oil and half banana. So, if a recipe calls for a cup of oil, I use a half cup oil and half cup banana. This is because banana flavor is pretty strong (unlike applesauce) and I don't want it to overpower other flavors. Also, I prefer the texture over 100% banana even though it has more calories.
ETA: I don't make any other changes to other liquids to account for this substitution.0 -
