My brother's 7 month old husky puppy was hit by a car on friday night. She has 3 broken bones in her pelvis and needs a surgery performed by specialists that costs roughly $6000. He is adamant about not putting her down.. she is on pain meds as of right now and he is trying to get the money together ASAP for her. He has a young wife and a 3 year old child. If anybody can help, even the smallest bit, would be truly wonderful. thank you!!

I tried to give $50 to an MFP member a few months ago and got cautioned for it, so I think maybe it is against the rules for you to ask something like this?

    Yes.

    b) Requests or solicitations for donations are also not allowed. This includes requesting contributions to “pooled fund” competitions, requests for votes in any venue (online contests, etc.), and even requests for charitable contributions. As you can imagine, we have a lot of people who would like to raise money for worthy causes through the site. As much as we'd like to support these causes, if we were to allow requests for donations, the forums would quickly become full of such requests which would take away from the main purpose of the forums - to support one another.
