Green Smoothies

I have started eating green smoothies for breakfast and I was wondering if anybody has had any luck losing weight by adding these to their diet. Obviously you still have to count calories and exercise but has it been easier with these? Any suggestions for recipes or anything else will be much appreciated!

I lose weight eating a large pizza 3 times a week and it's very rare to find something green in my diet. Yes, eating healthy food will help you add more nutrients, but when it comes to losing weight, net calories is what matters.0

My opinion on the green thing is torn. I drink them because I hate vegetables! I mean hate! I like a few of them if they are in tons of butter or sauce, but otherwise I don't like them so I drink the juice to get the nutrients because they are good for my skin and hair. They do have calories but not many. I think it's a matter of how you feel about eating veggies.0

I drink a green smoothie almost every morning. It started because I wanted a way to get more veggies into my diet but now I'm hooked because they just taste good. You wont really lost weight any faster the way you would if you were replacing a meal with juicing because the smoothie calories still add up and are pretty fiber packed. BUT even so they are still worth drinking for the awesome health benefits they provide.0

I only do it to get more veggies and I've become addicted to the taste of Skinny Green Monster:

My favorite is Rachael Ray's Green Machine Avocado Smoothie.

The way that I make it (slightly modified her version) it comes to about 250 calories per cup. And packed full of vitamins!!

One of the main reasons I went to drinking these is because I HATE veggies except salads so yeah I think I will continue with these just to get the added nutrition0
