When it is stinking hot and you don't feel like eating....

Do you just not eat or do you drink your calories. We are in for a week of really hot weather and I don't feel like eating in the heat. So should I drink smoothies etc to fill my calories or just eat when I finally feel like it?

    When it is hot I like cold things. My favorites:

    Blackbean salad: black beans, corn, red onion, 3 colors of peppers, and a dressing of redwine vinegar, lime juice, garlic, salt & pepper.

    Caprise salad: tomatoes, mozzeralla, basil, balsamic vinegar, and a little fresh pepper

    Greek yogurt w/ fresh strawberries or fresh pineapple

    smoothies

    Both the salads I would add to some diced chicken or low sodium sliced turkey breast. Yummy! These were my go to "I don't feel like eating" high protein snacks.

    I love salads when it is hot.. But i tend to eat smaller quantities when it is hot, in general, I love cold boiled shrimp (i buy the big bags of frozen ones). I also like hard boiled eggs that i keep on hand in the fridge.

    I try to eat my calories and at the end of the day if i am short on calories i make a protein shake with frozen fruit in it.
  • h I wish I had this problem, it's freezing here and all I want is warmimg foods like pie and mash, I could eat loads! But when it's hot have something refreshing and thirst quenching like fruit-oranges, peaches, plums-anything juicy. Have sorbet instead of ice cream, plenty of water and some light salads.
