P90X W/out hte added equipment

I just got P90X and haven't started it yet. I see there is extar stuff you need to buy in order to do the exercises. Can you just miodify some of the moves and not buy the extra stuff?

You can use resistance bands instead of buying the chin-up bar - but you do need some equipment!

I bought bands at Walmart instead of purchasing the pullup bar. I use free weights for some of the DVDs, but you could use bands instead. I don't think you could get by without any equipement.

Dumbells or resistance bands, a mat for abs and yoga, chin-up bar or you can do some tricks to fasten a resistant band to a door. I can't give the details on that one, but I've seen people post about here and there.

I've been using 10 lb dumbells for a lot of the exercises, but I'm a month in and need some heavier ones. I tried bands but they're just not comfortable for me.

you can get everything you need from Amazon for a lot cheaper than TBB.com sells them for.

This doorway pull up bar looks exactly the same as the one they sell, for half the price

I got this band set, but I like the dumbbells better

I got the dumbbells from Walmart. Generally they are about .80 per lb. I like these a lot more than the bands. You know exactly what weight you are using. You don't need a whole set. maybe start with a set of 5's and 10's, see how those suit you, then perhaps in a few weeks buy a set of 15's
