C25K question

I did the C25K program through the summer and finished it. It is a GREAT program and I ran a 5K in September. My question is...
I am not running in the cold I can't breathe good and it hurts my knee. I have been using my treadmill 30 min a few times a week (walking only, running on it scares me). Will I have to start all over when it warms up? I don't expect to be able to just walk outside and run for 30 min. Will I be able to move through the levels with more ease than before? Any input or experience, please.

Keep upping your speed on the treadmill until you get comfortable with it. If you don't run at all from now to spring you'll probably be starting over although you may get your pace back quicker than you moved through the first time because you've already broken those mental barriers. Next mental barrier to get through is being afraid of the treadmill!0

I've been wanting to start the C25K but I only have the option to run outside. I'm not a fan of the cold so not sure if I should just wait until the Spring to start. But I guess if the weather stays like this in the 40s I could manage that.0

I second the upping of your pace on the treadmill. Do a pace your comfortable at then add in 1 minute of a .5mph faster pace. Then back to comfortable pace. Repeat one minute intervals until your 30 minutes is over. Slowly creep up to either a faster interval or doing the entire 30 minutes at the faster pace.0

I'm no expert, but I would think that since you're not running your endurance is going to take a serious nose dive.
I just started running again (C25k) and I'm struggling a bit even though I've been walking everywhere I go for the past several years. I walk a mile to the school and a mile back twice a day during the week (~15 minute mile), but unless you're really going for it your heart rate isn't going to get anywhere near to what it gets to when you're running.0
