Acu-puncture allergy 'cure'

I just recently learned that there is a supposed allergy cure (food OR environmental) that is some kind of acupuncture therapy.

It's a 'permanent' cure, according to the person who told me about it.

Anyone here partake of this 'cure'.

What were your allergies prior to the treatment?
How severe were your reactions?
What is your situation now that the treatment is over?
How long since you had the treatment?

I am having trouble suspending my disbelief and would be curious to know if there are more out there that have tried this so called allergy 'cure'.

Pseudo science isn't science. Unless accupuncture is affecting the immune system, allergies will continue since it's mostly environmental.

Yeah. That was basically my opinion.

My friend SWEARS it cured her. I'm curious to know if more have had this same 'experience'.

I had NAET treatments for allergies and am still going through the process. She did use accupuncture on me a few times but mostly the NAET. Look it up online...too hard to explain what she does...but it works!! Not sure if what you are talking about is the same thing. I had many allergies and they are now either gone or almost gone. I feel so much better...it is amazing!! Going again tomorrow!!!

If you do go for acu-puncture, make sure that you check out the acupuncturist's credentials and where they were trained. Don't rely on friends. Don't be fooled by a nice bedside manner. Anybody can take a weekend course and hang out a shingle, so buyer beware.

And count each needle as it goes in, and make sure each is taken out at the end of the treatment. Make sure he/she is using new needles each time. If not sterile the needles can cause problems.

I have a permanent fragment of a needle in my body. So be careful. There are good ones out there, and then there are the others.
