Two years ago when I flew home for my mums birthday I was horrified to find I couldn't do the belt up. I bawled as I had to ask for an extender. Sadly that wasn't my sign but it did start six months later.

Last night I got on the plane to come home for Xmas. Not only did I not need an extender but I had to tighten the belt!

    I know that feeling and it is one of the BEST ever! As well as fitting into a booth at a restaurant easily.. not being terrified! Congrats to you!!

    I had this to happen to me 50 plus pounds ago--at least you asked for the extender (I was too embarassed so "I" used my other hand to cover it up; NOW i can't wait to get on the next plane cause I'm certain no extender (or my other hand) will be necessary :):):)
