Why do you have a 50 plus old boyfriend? You need to enjoy your twenties; take it from a 42 year old who has been there and done that!

Well, just 50...minus the plus. And it's because I am currently living in a sleepy town with not a lot to do and am pretty far from the city. I'm taking my year before grad school to strengthen myself not only physically, but intellectually. I've left my years of college partying behind for intellectual conversation with a remarkably wise and witty older man. If I feel like getting back into being young and crazy, I have grad school in the city to look forward to. It's kind of personal, but right now I'm learning to be happy with myself and to get over a lot of my long-standing issues. Different things for different points in life. Thanks for the concern, though. :)

    Agreed.

My 31-year-old friend is blissfully happily married (and ewly pregnant) with a wonderful man who will be 61 next month.

My bf is 35 and I'm 47...12.5 year difference. I can't imagine dating a man who's more than a couple years older than me, but there was a time when I couldn't imagine what I have now either.
