This sound terrific, but a little fatty. I use Swiss Miss Diet chocolate mix (25 cal) and fat free whipped cream. Yummy substitute!

What exactly is fat-free whipped cream? It's whipped....something.

It's better not to ask what fat-free whipped cream is

    Just in time for Christmas!

    5 pints of 1/2 & 1/2.
    12 Hershey candy bars.

    1) Slowly heat cream on stove
    2) Break candy bars in small pieces and add to warm cream
    3) Stir until melted candy is fully mixed.

    Serve and enjoy!

You obviously missed the melting of the 5 candy canes, but it's okay because I've mentioned it now so we've missed that bullet.

How could a Brit adapt this? What is half and half? Would Cadbury's do? Would a few shots of baileys make it better?

This thread reminds me that I have a plan to eat a huge dessert and a Bailey's hot chocolate some time this week. Tomorrow might have to bethe day

No no no.... You have to use Abuelita! So fricking good! But seriously... I love hot chocolate! So I found a very special (store brand) of coffee that tastes like it. I feel like I'm getting a special treat every morning.

YES! My favorite hot chocolate. Costco had a big ol' double sized package of the bricks recently... it'll take forever to get through it, but it's so darned good.

I've been using unsweetened chocolate almond milk, adding stevia, for my 'everyday' cocoa. It's really quite good. Better than the SF alternatives in packets. It also ROCKS when used for this chocolate chipotle chai tea (loose) that I have.

Doesn't Bailey's make EVERYTHING better? It's really good in chocolate mint coconut milk (heated like cocoa, of course.)

"Half and half" is half milk, half cream. Funny, I've never thought about that being an American thing.
And yeah, like someone else said, Bailey's makes everything better.

Me too! I'd go for some Lindt 60% or some Hotel Chocolat dark chocolate flakes ( melts quicker too).

"Mexican hot chocolate" (Hot chocolate with cinnamon and cayenne) sounds so good right now. I've seen abuelita in stores but i've never tried it.
