Caloreis for chicken noodle soup be, without the chicken?

Weird question I know. But I love to go to Panera, and thei chicken noodle soup rings up at 120calories per serving. Well I'm weird and can't stand the chicken breast chunks that they put in there. So I literally spoon them out onto my plate and skip it. I figure there's probably about 2 ounces of chicken that I take out.
But I'm wondering, how many calories should I count if I'm only eating the broth, veggies, and noodles?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I hate not knowing what I'm eating.

Calculate the calories for 2oz of chicken. Subtract that from the soup calories.

Ther are approximately 46 calories in 1 oz of chicken breast meat without skin so I would guestimate 92 calories less which would make your soup only about 28 calories..... I think you may be over estimating the weight of the chicken meat although I have no idea the size of the serving.

Yep, this ^^ is probably as close as you'll get. How accurate it is would depend on how fatty the chicken was because most of the fat is probably now in the broth.

Two ounces of chicken may be a high estimate I would use the one ounce figure of 46 calories off of the 120 for 74 calories and count that for the soup... Always better to over estimate the calories in something than to underestimate them...
  • I really am not 100% sure how much chicken I take out. Probably closer to 1.5 ounces. It's a pretty big chunk honestly. Kinda crazy that they put that much chicken in there haha.
