C25K running for losing?

In christmas time i want to start running as physical activity.Never been "good" at running just because never been sportive and stuff like that.Tried so many times but now i'm really motivated to try again so i was wondering if c25k is okay also to lose once you are able to run without stopping for several minutes?

    Not sure if I understand the last sentence.

    I fit the C25K into my workout as I try to run to ( and trust me I never have been good at this either) and I am loosing. But i do a bit of other cardio too and also some strength training!
    If you go to a gym, talk it over with an instructor, this helped me alot.
