Butter tarts - what can I say, I'm Canadian!

Anticipating possible diet carnage over Christmas, I've drawn up a list of dos and don'ts. Butter tarts I will say "yes' to, boxed chocolates I will not.

Eggnog, but it fit in my calories and brought some of my nutrition counts higher.

Last night I made the mistake of having a gingerbread donut from Tim Hortons. It was very delish but I had the worst ever Reactive Hypoglycemia afterwards. Lesson learned...

Don't think we get this peppermint bark here.

Oh, I love me some Christmas treats!

Egg nog - thank god they don't carry this all year long

Kringle - traditional Danish almond pasty (no I'm not Danish, but I like the way they think)

Hot buttered rum - we make our own mix with haagen dazs vanilla ice cream and TONS of butter

Enstrom's almond toffee - I order a box every year. This stuff is like crack.

TJs peppermint coated pretzel thins, ummm, yes please.

Oh, there will be others before I ring in the New Year. I am making my families favorite pumpkin cheesecake with a gingersnap crust for Christmas dinner...gee, I better start working out now to fit that one in my calorie count.
