Hip muscle tear (and bone cyst)

Recently learned that I have a tear in the muscle (labrum) and a cyst in the bone structure of my hip (diagnosed by contrast MRI). Yeah, I know, every medical situation is different, but have any of you experienced this? What was your treatment? Recovery time?

(And no, I'm not relying on the MFP forums instead of a medical professional. My ortho appt is this Friday.)

    I'm going through this now. What did your doctor say? I see my surgeon tonight. I'm wondering what I should be asking. I've been searching all over the net but I feel like I'll think of something after the fact and wish I would have asked that too.
