Hello everyone,

I'm a 40-something male, proud husband and father (7yo boy and 2yo girl) and I've been trying - unsuccessfully until now - to tackle a long-time overweight/obese condition. I started using MFP on recommendation of a friend about 3 months ago and since then have dropped just shy of 30lbs, which is great for me considering my lifestyle choices.

I was ecstatic when MFP announced Withings support and I use MFP every single day. Thank you all for adding to the database and supporting this community.

As I approach my target weight (just...a few... more... pounds) I'm still off what I would like for body fat %.

Quick question for folks is: just as counting calories via MFP is what got me to shed excess pounds, what's the proper way to burn off excess fat? Exercises? I do martial arts - karate - 3-4x /week. Mindful of what I should eat? If so, what?
