And you would like that advice for free, and without an actual consultation?

    Got it, thanks.

My little bit of advice would be to call a chiropractor or physical therapist or orthopedist and schedule an appointment to go see them and have them actually look and see what your specific individual problems are and how they may or may not limit whatever it is you think you might like to do.

To put what DavPul said in a pleasant way... many medical professionals will not give out advice, even seemingly innocuous advice, without an examination or consult. I kind of understand that, as it can be a liability issue. Also, the professional would have to ask you a whole bunch of questions to tailor advice to you. This is the kind of advice that one usually pays for.

I realize (and I imagine most others do too) that you were likely looking for general information, but I'm not sure anything general would really be helpful. If you do not want to or are not able to make an appointment with a sports medicine doctor, you could go a web search for people who have the same kind of injuries you do and who also lift weights.

I currently have an awful case of tennis elbow...I asked the fitness specialist in my office gym for advice, and she made some suggestions. If you have access to anything like that, that may help.

I hope you find what you need.

I''m not sure how to respond to this. I've written 3 answers and thought all of them were bad.

All I wanted was a little advice on lifting from some one who may understand my issue. Not asking for free treatment. I already have a Dr. Thanks for the advice.
