Getting back into it

I had a good solid 3/4 months of great weight loss. I was eating right, exercising, etc... Than a lot of crap happened in my life and i stopped watching what i ate... i'm back at it now but really want to stay focused. Anyone have some good pointers for me to stay focused. I know i can do it!
thanks

Make a commitment to log daily. That for me leads to me moving more so I can eat back a bit. Also having committed friends here who log daily and being successful really helps me. Its a very slow journey, thought I would lose these first 20 lbs fast since I have alot to lose. Didn't happen. Took me over 3 months to lose 20! But its all good, am rethinking my choices and moving more and I am going to have to be aware of my weight for the rest of my life. I just log daily and have some awesome friends who are encouraging and serious and fun.

I know where I live there are alot of overweight people, so I think, why bother but then I hope on here and see how many successful people there are and yeppers, I can do this!

    Blessings!

i am also having trouble staying focused. i find having a good support network really helps. a close friend of mine is also a member and we continuosly cheer each other on, even when we have bad days. it helps to know there is someone out there struggling just like me and wanting me to suceed in my goals. good luck and remember baby steps is the best way to taking it off and keeping it off!

Sometimes we have to start with baby steps before we can take larger ones. Try eating half of what you normally eat. For instance, eat half of your normal breakfast, lunch and dinner but try not to go lower than 1600 calories per day. Exercise at least 30 minutes five days a week. If your knees hurt, try using the eliptical machine or recumbent bike. Both exercises are easy on the knees. If 30 minutes is too much, try going 10 or 15 minutes per workout. Set your goal for 30 days of consistent logging, eating and exercise. They say... do thirty days of anything and it will become a habit. Good luck.
