Giving up

I'm ready to give up, The scale is my enemy. It laughs at all my hard work and says you'll be fat forever. I see all these success stories and I want it more than anything in the world but deep down I know it will never be me. I envy the effortless thin. I pity the morbidly obese and for myself, I feel hopeless.

Huh? What happened to "im in all the way :) " just 30 minutes ago? Where is that girl? You know you can do it, I know you can do it, so why all the sudden pessimism? For heaven's sake, your scale is not your enemy, your pessimism is the enemy. Stiffen your upper lip and keep going!

Why not just put the scale away for a while. Concentrate on just being healthy. Come back to weight loss later.

Also, you are 18 and have already lost 12 pounds. Are you sure your goal is a healthy one?

From your profile picture, you look like a very beautiful young woman. I never use the scale, good health and appearance is more than a number on a scale. People never believe me when I tell them how much I weigh. Maybe just focus on your health and personal fitness goals instead. Good luck!
