  • Welcome! The holidays are a hard time to start/stick with making changes with all the temptations. Just take it a day at a time, and don't beat yourself up too much for a 'bad' day. Every bit counts.
  • Hi mate, many thanks for the words of encouragment!!!!
  • Don't worry, the Xmas period will be soon over....then you can make a fresh star with New year 's coming !!!!

Take some 'before' pictures, measure your waist, thighs and arms, hide it all away on your computer somewhere. you'll tahank yourself so much for it in 1-2 months time when you can see the progress!
    Don't give up!

That sounds like a fantastic idea.

    Hi,

I'm a few months ahead of you on this journey.

I was in a similar situation where (with clothes on) I didn't look too bad, but I felt quite fat when I looked in the mirror. At 5'11, I got up to 14 stone. I've shed over 1.5 stone up to now.

I'm with you as far as trying harder after xmas is concerned, which is why I've already committed to starting weight training, as my loss so far is entirely down to eating at a deficit, but I still feel liike I look fat, so I'm hoping the weights will help me tone up properly.

i am weird, but i actually prefer starting now before Christmas then after ....

i hear you about feeling frumpy, but with every little positive change i make ( as in , should i eat that??? am i actually hungry???) i start feeling a lil bit less like a hippo and more like a person!

take baby steps ... and do not beat yourself up .... i do that and it is not productive .... eat time we eat or move is an opportunity to make a better choice =)
