Tips for running on the spot

I don't have access to a treadmill anymore so I'm doing the running on Wii Fit Plus. And I feel like I'm not doing it right. Are there any tips for good form or how best to run on the spot?

Why does it feel like you are not doing it right? Keep your upper body vertical - and lift those knees high - That's usually what I try for.0

My suggestions are:
Try avoid bouncing too much on your toes
Swing your arms from your torso
Be consistant
Put the control in your pocket
Keep your back straight as possible
Lean slightly forward0 -
I also find, whether running in spot or running outside/treadmill, a good pair of sneakers can help with shin splints, knees, etc.

I always feel like a complete idiot when I run on my Wii Fit on the spot so I understand where your'e coming from! I just try to run circles around the room, run from one side of the room to the other, run forwards and backwards, etc. If you don't have the room for that, just try doing either high knees or buttkicks to give you the motion in your legs. Put the control in your pocket, stay vertical, and keep your arms at a 90 degree angle if you feel weird swinging them.0
