Do you love your morning Iced Mocha??? I made one this morning using:

*EAS Advantedge ''Carb Control'' Chocolate Fudge Shake
*4oz Brewed Folgers Coffee
*2oz ice

Place cooled coffee, prepared shake, and ice into blender and blend. So yummy.

That sounds so yum... have to try!!!!!!
  • yum! so simple!

I have a really great cookbook from Fresh here in Toronto (a vegetarian restaurant 'chain') and there's a whole chapter of healthy Espresso Shakes.

    One of my favs:

    "Almond Java Espresso Shake"

    - 1 dbl shot espresso or brewed coffee
    - 6 oz. vanilla soymilk
    - 1 tbsp almond butter
    - 1 banana, peeled
    - 1 tsp maple syrup
    - 6 ice cubes

"Make the espresso/coffee first. Place the soymilk, almond butter, and banana in a blender. Start the blender on a low setting while you add the espresso, maple syrup, and ice. Switch to a higher setting and blend for about 2 minutes. Pour into a tall glass."

Lots of protein, calcium, and caffeine in this one :) I'm sure it's easy to modify... i use about 1/2 a banana, and I feel like a mint version would be easy and delicious too.

well, i guess i know what i'm having for lunch today.

YUMMMMMY! I drink the AdvantEDGE shakes as a boost after a workout...I never thought of putting one in coffee!! Thanks!

Here's another idea....Swiss Miss makes a Diet Hot Chocolate mix that is 25 calories and 2 g. of sugar. I mixed that in with coffee yesterday morning and it was excellent!
