I need some suggestions for a good yoga DVD for beginners. I have lost over 100 pounds doing cardio, and have now added in some strength. I have always wanted to do yoga, but honestly 100 pounds ago I was not near flexible enough to even try. So I need something simple...

  • Chrissy Carter has a new DVD out and she is fantastic. I know it is available at Walmart and Barnes and Noble and soon to be at Target. There is also a great new DVD set from Sara Ivanhoe and Weight Watchers - both are great places to start and you just do what you can.

    Namaste.

I like peggy Cappy. Her yoga is gentle and easy for beginners and her dvd's can be found on amazon.com as well as her website:

  • Congratulations on your weight loss!

I love "Brand Spankin' New" from Yoga Online. You have to download the video. It costs around 8.95 and it is worth every penny.

    Namaste.

I ordered Yoga for Inflexible people on amazon. It was fairly cheap $8-9

You can also check out videos on YouTube. Just enter "Yoga for beginners". There's a whole series that begins with the fundamental postures: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2B-_aQ5vS9E&list=SP68C4F42A875FF6B0. Rodney Yee also has a couple of beginner videos that I enjoy. Good luck!

Rodney Yee has the best beginner (and advanced) yoga dvd's imo. They are extremely well made and easy to follow. He explains and demonstrates the moves in the beginner videos.
