HELP! I can't finish my workouts anymore!

I am doing the insanity fit test and can only make it to 17 minutes. Months ago, when i tried this workout, i could finish most of it.
I am trembling and dizzy after only 17 minutes. The full workout is 25 minutes.
I was undereating for about a week (maybe more) before i started this time. But last night I added more calories and pasta to try and gain energy to workout for today.
I can't finish it and its making me feel like a loser. What am i not doing right?

I'm curious to see your food diary.0

I'm curious to see your food diary.
Ditto. Sounds like you need to increase your calories.0 -
how do i make it visible to you?0
-
You were the one who posted that you were eating WAY below BMR so if you just upped your calories last night I think you need to give yourself more time. I don't think it matters what your diary says as far as what you are eating, you were eating too low and your body suffered it needs to recover. So take a deep breath, relax, do what you can for exercise (maybe it might be a good idea to just do some walking for the next few days) and remember this is a marathon not a sprint --you'll get there.0

The trick with insanity isnt to keep up with everyone in the videos, please dont forget that. The whole point of insanity is to improve from where you were at the beginning. Make sure you're hydrated before hand, and dont worry about keeping up. You want to do a pace that will allow you to finish the workout. If you cant do it, then slow down to a pace that you can.0

i guess im upset because i used to have TONS of energy-when i wasn't dieting. but there is this thing in my head that is making me follow these weird rules.
i just wish i could do more. i feel like im lazy if i dont complete a workout. and fat if i eat outside my "special number" of calories0 -

you're right. but i used to be able to at least keep going (even if i paused for a few minutes).
Now if i pause i have to lie down because the room starts spinning and i feel like puking.0 -
What about energy pills?0

Looks like your majority of calories is after dinner. I'm assuming that you're working out before then. If that's the case, then your energy level is low which is why you're not able to complete.

What about energy pills?
I think you maybe need to take a couple weeks away from trying to do a very intense program like Insanity and figure out the nutrition side of things. You will not be able to do insanity eating a 1200 calorie diet period. Relax, take some time away from the super intense exercises and work on learning the nutrition side of things. When you get that settled and are able to fuel your body for an intense workout, give it another shot.0 -
Aside from your eating, which is being addressed, are you taking breaks like you're supposed to?0

it is going to be VERY difficult for me to do that.0 -

yes, but usually they are fatigued breaks. meaning i am too tired to work out that day0 -

then I think you're SOL. people above have given some great, realistic advice, but if you've got this set in your head that "i could complete this before, now i can't, even though i don't eat enough", we can't get through to you without you giving excuses back.0 -
Some days are just better than others, so if it was only a 1 day issue with endurance then it's a little early to freak out about it. Also, undereating will impact performance long term. Aim for a cup of complex carbs mixed with protein 1-2 hours before working out so that your body will have plenty of energy during the workout. Blood pressure could also be an issue, if your cardiovascular health has improved your blood pressue could be dropping too low durring activity - try adding 2 saltine crackers in the morning, or some salt to your food throughout the day if you feel this could be the problem. Good luck!!!0

You already know that your calories are way too low, but you're also very unbalanced. You have a carb heavy diet. Try to get the number of gram of carbs and protein around the same or close. And do that with every meal-- base it on your protein and then add a carb. You will find you feel a lot better and probably less hungry! You will also be fueling your muscles a lot better. I am in the middle of Insanity for at least the fourth time-- and my numbers improve every time! It really helps to follow Insanity's nutrition-- it's so easy to do and well balanced.0

If you'd rather take energy pills than eat enough, then I just don't have advice
Based on the limited number of days you've logged in your diary, you're really falling short of your calorie goal0 -
you cant finish every routine the first time you try it, you just make it a little further each time. This is called leveling up- and the day you can finish the whole thing??

im not trying to be difficult, im just scared. i mean, before when i ate what i wanted, i never realized it was too much. obviously it was, if i have flab. i don;t know whether the flab is from me eating too much or not exercising. so im trying to attack it from both ends, and now i have people telling me to eat MORE and its not registering.
and all the macronutrients info is confusing.0 -
You have to properly fuel your body when you do any type of exercise. Energy pills will not take you anywhere.0
-
Didn't I see a post from you early claiming you were tired. And EVERYONE said eat more. The reason you are tired is that you aren't fueling your body with good things and enough food. If this doesn't help, it's because you aren't fit enough to finish. Do what you can do, then do more the next day, and the next day until you finish it.0

i think i have a problem now. i am literally crying because i have to eat 1500 calories today, and may not be able to work out0

Did your Insanity come with a meal plan? I would follow that.0 -

I have NO clue how someone that need to lose 20 pounds (like you claim) could have gotten to this place with out eating too much. And now you claim you CAN'T eat enough. This isn't rocket science, hun. I know you are afraid of gaining, but at this point you should be more concerned about the muscle mass you are losing by starving your body.0 -

I get it, you don't want your "middle fat." No one does. But rushing into it is just going to stress you out to the point that you may make dire choices.
Slow down, eat healthy, and listen to good advice.0 -

but i WAS fit enough to finish it before. so i think its the food. what exactly am i not getting enough of? protein? calories? fat?0 -
What about energy pills?

Are you Drinking water ? Are you following the elite nutrition guide ?0 -

i was chubby as a kid, semi chubby as a teen, and skinny fat now. people think im 105 in clothes. my lower abdomen and hips have all the fat.
i don't want to eat how i was eating before. i was at 130 pounds almost 7 years now, eating what i wanted and not working out. so im guessing i was eating at a maintenance level of 130 pounds. i am trying to eat at a level for 110. not taking into account that i need MORE fuel to burn calories...its all so confusing0
