  • I like to make extra when I do cook. That way if I'm in a pinch, I have my own TV dinners, soups, etc. I also keep Amy's veggie burgers in the freezer. They work well for sandwiches or over a salad.

raw almonds. they are sturdy and portable, calorie dense and great when you need calories and either don't feel like cooking or eating a big meal.

fruit or veg with an ounce of raw almonds have served as a meal for me many, many times.

IDEAS: Oatmeal, Salad, Hardboiled eggs, Cottage cheese, Soup-chicken broth with green onions and a cup of steamed brown rice-yumo, Steamed veggies in the bag, tuna with a little mayo on a tortilla, chips and salsa with a turkey sandwich.
These are some of my go to ideas......

I sometimes grab a lean cuisine or morning star chicken pattie on multi-gran bun. Or toss some chicken and a jar of salsa in a crock pot and let cook all day, 30 minutes before eating add 1 can each of corn and black or pinto beans both drained, yummy.

Healthy choice gourmet steamers - Grillled chicken marinara = 250. Tasty and satisfying
