Hey there, first post on MFP and had a question regarding a good beginners workout for weight lifting. Or, overall, the best routine for getting started. I enjoy both cardio and the use of weights, but now I'll have access to weight machines/barbells/etc. Do you have any recommendations for good cardio workouts/lifting weights? I'm not a fan of running, but really enjoying the elliptical as it's not stressful on my knees.

My current weight is 192, 5'4" at 20 years old and my goal is to not only lose weight, but to lower my body fat %. I'm unsure of what it is currently at. I've been working out the last few months roughly 3 days a week with 45 minute classes of circuit training/kickboxing which has helped. On the days I cannot make kickboxing, I've done Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 and have completed the whole DvD, which was incredible! Just purchased a heart rate monitor as well yesterday, which should be here in about a week.

My current caloric intake is roughly 1200 a day, sometimes to 1300. I've used MFP calorie counter as well for a total of 20+ days straight, which is huge for me! I'm finally fed up with not being comfortable for myself and have really, truly decided that this time, I can and will change myself. Thank you all so much.
