    I would go out in the forest and hunt my own animal. Then on the way back, I'd pick some berries and greens, and I'd light a fire in my yard and, using whatever stones and sticks and what not, I'd make utensils to cook and eat the food, just like our ancestors did.

    Do people really still believe this? The Mayans never said the world was ending. It's simply the end of the long count. The calendar is flipping over just like we do January 1st. This is just the flip of a longer cycle.
