Having A "Cheat" Meal & Saving Calories?

Hello everyone,

I made an account last month when I was just starting to get into exercising regularly but I didn't keep up with my food diary/exercise log or the forums AT ALL. Now that I've maintained my exercising and diet pretty well, I thought it'd be a good time to get into the habit of using this website, especially after seeing all the helpful forum topics!

I know a lot of people are recommending have a "cheat" meal once a week to confuse the body and make sure that it doesn't start getting lazy, but I'm really worried that this will slow down my weight loss, even more so once I become closer to my goal weight! Do you think it's better if I do this once every two weeks?

Also, is it bad if I "save" my calories for a big meal? I went to a big city last Sunday with my friend to do a little shopping and to eat some Korean barbecue (we don't have any Korean restaurants in my tiny town). I knew this meal would probably be a ton of calories and the only exercise I would have the whole day is walking around downtown so I ended up not eating anything before our early dinner. I was literally stuffed with tons of meat afterwards (it was an all-you-can-eat deal xD) so I felt quite satisfied at the end of the day. Is this okay to do?

Sorry for the wall of text :X
