Ladies under 5'0 (4'9-4'11)

What is ur goal weight you are trying to acheive? Since I'm 4'11 I would love to be 120-125 even though I think my BMI would still be overweight? FML lol Anyway my 1st goal is to lose 100 lbs I used to weigh 241, I'm almost half way there but after I get to 141 lbs my ultimate goal is to be around 120-125 lbs. My next question is for the ladies my height who are already at this weight around what size(s) do you wear?

Oh yea fellow "fun-sized" ladies free feel to add me, Thanks!

I am 5'1 and my goal is at about 130-135, but a healthy weight for my size is under 130. Currently, I weigh 144 started at 180, the sizes I wear depend entirely on the brand, sometimes I am a 5/6 other times 7/8 in jeans (hate the sizing). Since I am close to my goal I am focusing more on composition than the scale.

Thanks for your reply, and congrats on ur weight lost so far! Dont you also think if we can gain weight maybe even 5 lbs its shows because of our height?

I know that when I lost my first 7-10 lbs. people noticed. I think with us having such a small frame weight loss/gain is pretty noticebale.

Thank you for the congrats, the journey has been tough and it still is, but the rewards are so worth it!

    Hey, nikki2001...

    I am 4'11.

    SW: 132.5
    CW: 122
    GW: 115

My first 10lbs lost, I received a lot of compliments. All I did was log what I was eating here on MFP and exercise a few days a week. I love MFP, I still eat what I want in moderation, but I know what to avoid if I go out to eat.
I believe that any extra weight looks twice as bad, because of my height. It's all in the middle, like a pear.
Right now I am working out to ZUMBA and starting INSANITY on 1/7/13. I added you, maybe we can motivate each other!

I am 5'1" and my goal is 115 lbs. I had gotten up to 173 lbs and was a size 16. I am now at 160.3 lbs and starting to fit comfortably in a size 14. Congrats on the weight loss! My sister is also about 5'1' or slightly more. She was approaching 300 lbs and in 1 1/2 years lost over 150 lbs! She now wears a size 4! (She is my inspiration.) I calculated that approximately 10 lbs on me is almost 2 sizes!

I am 5'0 and my goal is 115. I am currently 124 after losing 19 pounds so far. I became a "healthy" BMI at 128. At 124 now, I am about a 4P on average.. of course, it depends on the brand. While 5 pounds shows up with a gain on us, it also shows more with a loss so I find I drop sizes quicker.

    Great job on your loss!

Shoot for what you are comfortable with and what you can maintain. For a long time when I did WW, my goal weight was 123 and I stayed for a long time. At that time I could not maintain anything lower. Take baby steps and see how you feel at each step. No need to set an ultimate goal now.

Hi Nikki. I'm just shy of 5' and my goal weight is 125 which I think puts me right in the "normal" range for BMI. My entire family is stocky so I feel like anything less than 125 will be a stretch but we'll see what happens! I'm currently 161.2 after losing 25.4 since Labor day (even .1 counts in my mind!!). I was in a tight 14 and now I'm in to 10's.My weights pretty much all over but loves to concentrate itself in my legs! We'll all get there, one day at a time! :)

  • Hi! I'm 5'1 and right now I'm 173 and fit comfortably in an 8. (at my heaviest, 213 lbs, i wore 14/16). The smallest I've been in my adult life is 145 and I fit into a 4. My goal is to be 130 and fit comfortably into a 2. With my body built, I calculated I lose two sizes every 15 lbs.

My body luckily loses weight first in my midsection so pant size isn't an issue, my problem are is my arms, they never seem to get skinny :(

    I am a little under 5' tall.

    HW: 115
    LW on MFP: 94.5
    CW: 105
GW: I am more interested in BF%

No matter what I weigh, its always been muscle I've lost so the weights never really been a factor.
  • I'm fun sized - 5'1 (Yay!)

    Starting Weight - 236.2

    Current Weight - 232.2

    Goal - 130 pounds

    Ultimate Goal - 125 pounds

I currently wear a size 20/22 and my goal is to wear a size 4/6. I have a long way to go!!

Thanks, but its always the end that takes the longest. :grumble: Its a little frustrating. I think I will end up doing 2 more cycles of bulking and cutting before I am remotely satisfied.

    Hi Nikki,
    I'm just under 5'
    SW 160
    CW 137
    GW 115 to 110

I agree that being so vertically challenged makes weight loss and gain show more dramatically. Currently in medium tops, pants are either 8's (of course petites) or 10's depending on cut. Keep with it, and congrats on your weight loss!

Hello everyone! I'm 5'0" (BARELY...pretty sure my license says 4'11" lol) My goal weight is 120. I don't want to be too small, because I want to still have curves. I'm currently at about 138 lbs, size 6. Good luck!

Hi!

I'm 5'1 and at 118 I wear an 8! I've always had a large waist even when the rest of me is just right (not an apple, but "straight" shaped... I've always said I was built like a teddy bear! LOL). I have TINY legs and arms and my tummy is pretty flat, but still have a large waist.

My goal weight is 115. It had been 118 but once I got to that I realized I really need to lose a bit more. I think making goals that are realistic and attainable is important. Once you meet that goal you can always reassess and make a new goal.
