Hi I'm really new to this, but I'm trying to get serious about changing my lifestyle and losing weight. I'm twenty years old, 415 pounds and ready to begin a weight loss journey. I really could use some friends and motivation though because I don't know what it really takes to stay with this long term as I've always done really strict short term diets. I hope there are some of you out there who are in or know what it's like to be in this position of having to lose so much weight... it can be alienating and very intimidating. Any tips, help, support, or motivation would mean the world to me

Whats up mate Free free to add me. This is just me but tracking everything I do helps. From a 267 down from 272 guy at 26 years old, I get to keep the diet I have and I'm a very picky eater (just had my first salad this week). While my personal best in exercise is walking 3 miles in an hour, I've recently started breaking out my exercise into short workouts doing say 15 minutes every two hours or something like that, enough times that I do at least a mile or two via treadmill and walking around the neighborhood with the dogs. I should mention I already basically eat 1600 a day with a bank of 2500 give or take. I'm also going to start taking pics once a day so I can make everyone go wow :P
Just some thoughts from one big guy to another and welcome
Edit: Oh another thing I do is buy snacks in package form. For example 100 calorie pringles or 100 calorie cashew mix. I know that if I don't do this I'll eat most or the entire can throughout the day.0 -

forget friends and motivation, you gotta get in the right mindset first- you gotta teach yourself to be self-motivated, self disciplined and determined to finish this time.0
