Will it really work?

Hello everyone, This is my first week of being serious about fitness. I've got a long way to go and I always get discouraged.
I am currently doing intense stationary bike interval training and than also training a separate body part each day of the week. (I work out 5-6 days. for usually an hour and a half.
I also have been eating clean i.e. trying to avoid foods with preservatives, no candy, no soda etc. But when i feel like i want a treat i will eat it. I guess i just want to know if this will really work, if i can lose weight. I am down 2 pounds since Monday I just hope it works for the long haul. I always get skeptical and return to my old ways. But i dont want to this time! I want to be a new fit me.

  • It will if you want it to. It's not an easy road. Sometimes it sucks, but every day you have to keep at it, through the good and the bad. Don't think of it as anything short term, remember that what you are doing now (exercising, eating healthy) is what your life is becoming. Eating healthy gets easier. The less crap you eat, the less you crave it or even want it at all.

Just be aware of your thoughts. "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't: you're right"

Good luck on this journey! At keep the goal in sight! In the end, everything will have been totally worth it.

Honestly you have to really want it. There are some days that will be easier than others, but just remember - you are NOT dieting. You are changing your lifestyle. I used to crave chips and cookies...I still do now but it's rare. I actually crave oats and broccoli...lol As crazy as that sounds, I do.

You will too. Just stick it out and hang in there. You know what i have on my fridge? I picture of a woman in a bathing suit that i strive to look like. Huge detourant from opening the fridge and snacking for no reason.

Calorie restriction is a scientific way to loose weight. If done properly, unless you have serious hormonal/thyroid issues, it basically HAS to work (and if you do have thyroid issues there is meds for that). That is to say that with the right plan, the only thing stopping you from loosing weight is YOU. Stick to the plan and it WILL work. Deviate from the plan, and you will fail. The choice is yours.

PS: I'm not saying you can't screw up here and there and still loose weight but if you screw up consistently, or lie about the calorie counts or don't count things you're only cheating yourself.
