When did you start seeing results?

Hi..Ive been on MFP everyday for 3 weeks. I do not expect to start seeing results right away but I want to know when everyone else started to see or feel results. I feel better about myself now that Im actually getting up and doing things that are really good for me. I don't eat over my calories and I do cardio for at least 30 minutes each day. I also do strength training 3-4 days a week. When did everyone really start seeing results and what kind of results were there??

I pretty well always see results 6 wks later provided I'm consistent.0

It took me about 40 pounds before I really felt that I, personally, was seeing results. But I think that's mainly because we see ourselves as fat for so long, it takes a bigger weight loss to really see it. Technically I KNEW I was losing because my clothes were either getting too big or I could wear a smaller size. But its only recently that I am seeing a difference in my own eyes.

I started seeing results on the scale by the end of the first week. It was significantly longer before there was enough of a size difference to go intoo the next smaller pants size. It took maybe a couple of months of activity before I noticed an improvement in stamina. People didn't even notice I had lost wiehgt at all until around 50 lbs.
I've had a lot of funny NSV (non-scale victories) along the way and they have kept me going when it seemed like I would never get to goal. One of the most signifcat-or at least memorable-ones was when I didn't have to use my foot to disengage the parking break-I caould actually bend over and pop it with my hand because my midsection wasn't in the way. And when I could fit between the seat and handlebars of the bicycle. And when I could get up from the bathtub without having to roll around like a beached whale to roll over onto my knees because I couldn't push myself up from where I was just sitting.
In my world, we take what we can when and where and how it decides to happen. Overall, the progress will come, the victories will be found and out pants will all need to be in a smaller size-as long as we stick with it and savor the bumps along the way.

-> Scale: first week
-> Getting less tired after general activity: after 2-3 months
-> Seing that I'm getting smaller in the mirror: now, after almost 4 months
-> Pants getting loose: just before 2 months
-> Family saying that they see the loss: now, after almost 4 months0 -
Around 2 months after I started, it took that long to drop a dress size and that's when I noticed a difference, I think by then I'd lost around 20lbs.0

It really depends on your starting weight. When I started actively trying to lose weight, I saw results after about a week and a half. I went from 132-136 to 126-128 in that time and I was visibly thinner. If someone were starting at like 300lbs you wouldn't notice an ~8lb loss.0

I felt it right away. Working out made me feel capable to do more. I could run to the bus easier. Actually caught the bus rather than sprint for a second and slowly jog and walk and finally stop in a matter of a minute.Than, I put on a pair of pants that usually were always tight and uncomfortable, because my thighs were too tight to pull them pull them up. They came on easy and I wore them all day without feeling I would explode out of them in any second.
I think I've been at this for about as long as you, but I run/jog for about an hour, and on hills. I don't know if that really makes a difference. I'm bad at keeping up with my weight training.
I feel skinny, so I think I look a bit better in the mirror sometimes. My family notices my weight loss more than me, but they don't see me everyday or watch the scale religiously.
The results are there. They are just the small things.0 -
After about a month I noticed lots of my clothes were getting loose around the waist0
-
scale - first week
energy - 1-2 months
noticeable difference in appearance - 2 months
clothes - hasn't happend yet, but I'm close....kind of in a weird inbetween size right now that doesn't exist. When I started I was about to go up a size...those same clothes are now just a tad loose and I've also had to tighten my belt a notch.
Most people are noticing that my face looks a little thinner...my belly is trimmmed down just a tad, but not enough to really be noticeable...unfortunately, that'll most likely be the last stuff to go. I've lost 12 Lbs.0 -
